Capacity Building Programme
Capacity Building Program of the Society remains centered towards helping other small NGOs and institutions as well as poor beneficiaries of Delhi NCR region. PAHEL organized various capacity building programs in different location of Delhi NCR. Each program was organized with two full days with different subjects/themes such as women employment, Gender issues, legal literacy, Confidence Building, Conflict Resolution, Self-awareness, Motivation, Managing one's Image, Cultivating Assertiveness and Setting Goals. A one day meeting with Management of private schools of Okhla area was also organized by the society and made them aware of the government schemes for literacy and education. 14 schools management teams participated & beneficiated.
Vocational /Technical Training
Vocational Training is one of the core activities of the Society. Under this head training and orientation regarding some useful trades are held in different places. During the reported year, a series of programs were held at villages in NCR Delhi and Phoolpur and Hemaipur localities of Azamgarh District of Uttar Pradesh. In these programs training on paper plate making, mushroom culture, screen-printing, mobile repair, fabric painting activities were carried out. Over 250 youths both girls and boys joined these programs.
Remedial Classes
 The remedial classes started by the Society in the previous terms continued this year as well. These classes were held for needy students on the first come first serve basis from September 2008 to March 2009. 100 boys and girls belonging to educationally and economically backward families, studying in Class I-V, joined the tutorials. Our teacher helped them in completing their homework and in removing their difficulties in learning more.
Drawing Competitions
Drawing competitions were organized for the students of age group of 5 to 12 years in MC Primary School and Saifi Public School Abul Fazal Enclave on Children's Day, Independence Day and Republic Day. More than 250 students participated in each competition. The Children were divided in to two age groups 5 to 8 and 9 to 12 years. Three prizes in each age group were awarded, the society issued participation certificate to all participants for motivation. All the participants were also briefed on drawing and painting by experts.
Career Counselling
 One summer camp was organised in Okhla Public school for the students of different schools of Jamia Nagar area, from 10th to 18 May 2008, participants were guided for emerging courses, scholarships, coaching institutions, etc. Different types of activities were carried out during this camp. Major focus was on Career Counselling, about 100 students joined in this Career Counselling summer Camp. The Question & Answer session was very interesting, the experts of different subjects guided the students as per their interest and explained various aspects of career making.
Youth Development Programme
Under this head three activities were held in the year of 2008 to 2009. Firstly, three youth motivation programme were held in which different lectures on different themes were delivered. These activities were organised in Tanakpur District of Uttarakhand which was on organising  of cultural programmes both within and outside the village. The activity also included the awareness of job opportunities, to utilize the youth energy for building a strong Nation by strengthening it mentally, physically and economically.
Environment Awareness Campaign
The society has joined hands with Municipal Corporation of Delhi & Other NGOS in creating awareness among youth to save Yamuna River. More than 1000 volunteers joined this drive and made this initiative a grand success in creating awareness among people living in and around Yamuna River. | ![[Company Logo Image]](_borders/top%20banner%20final.gif)
